Friday Five

For this Friday Five I have decided to show you my five everyday make up essentials that I'm loving at the moment. These are the five products that I reach for everyday. I am currently loving a more natural make up look, and these five are perfect for that! 

First up I have 3 Benefit products. Gimme brow is my go to brow product, it is so quick and easy to use and great for a natural looking brow. {Review of gimme brow here} Roller lash is Benefit's new mascara, I got this little mini version in Elle Magazine and I have been loving it over the recent months. It is the perfect everyday mascara. Of course I also have my trusty old favourite Fake up concealer! I love this concealer (which if you read my blog you will already know)! I use this under my eyes, to brighten and conceal any dark circles. It blends well and lasts really well throughout the day.  {Review of fake up here} Next up is my current favourite and current go to blush from Clinique. I love the cheek pop blush in 'peach pop'. It is the perfect natural everyday blush. {Review of cheek pop here} Lastly, although not technically a make up product and more skin care is the Balm Balm lip balm. I use this on my lips everyday to keep them moisturised. It is perfect to wear underneath lip stick & gloss as well as great on it's own. At the moment I just wear this on my lips alone, for a pretty natural look.

Wrap Up Warm ~ Winter Weather Essentials

As the weather get colder we start piling on jumpers, scarves, hats, gloves and anything else to help us keep warm. So For today's post I have put together a few of my favourite accessories perfect for this time of year.

Winter Wonder Products

Winter is now here so today I am sharing some of my favourite products to use during the colder months.

Beauty essentials 

My top winter wonder product has to be vaseline lip therapy. I get really dry lips and this keeps them lovely and moisturised. I also recently bought the tube vaseline as it will be easier to carry around than the tin. 

Another vaseline product that I really like is the essential moisture body lotion. Like it says it isn't greasy at all and sinks into the skin quite quickly. It leaves my skin feeling so soft and moisturised and also has a lovely scent. 

As well as keeping your body and lips moisturised you can't forget about your face and neck! My favourite moisturiser is simple kind to skin hydrating moisturiser. 

One of my favourite things to keep my skin looking lovely is to use a face mask. I really like using this mask as a lovely quick pick me up for my skin. 

Hand cream is a definite must have for winter. When the weather starts getting colder your hands will become more dry, so it is really important to keep them moisturised. I find there is nothing worse than having sore, rough dry hands. I really like this Norwegian formula fast absorbing hand cream, it is the best one I have tried so far and sinks into my skin quickly, so doesn't leave you with greasy or slippery feeling hands. One tip I have is to apply this before going to bed, as then it will work on your hands while you sleep and you will wake up to beautiful soft hands!

My Summer Beauty Essentials

As you may know I have already covered the beauty basics, however as it is now the start of summer I thought I would share with you my favourite products that I like to use in the summer months. 

Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream: This is my favourite product to use for full face coverage. I prefer to use BB creams in the summer as they have a nice light coverage, and in the summer you don't really want the heavy feel of make up on your face. I also like that it has SPF 30 as well as UV protection so that I know my face is protected from the sun without having to apply sun cream then foundation. I love this product and would highly recommend it, I am not a big foundation person as I don't like the feel of it on my skin, but I don't even notice this when I have it on and even sometimes forget that I am wearing it!

Benefit fakeup concealer: This is one of benefits newer products. As soon as I heard about fakeup I wanted to try it, so when it launched in stores I went in and bought myself one. I wasn't disappointed by it and have used it a lot. I like to use this under my eyes to brighten them up. It blends well and doesn't go cakey which I have found many other concealers do. I also like to use it over the top of another concealer when I want a bit more coverage.

Boots essentials lip salve: I always like to make sure I have my lip salve with me, whether it be summer or winter as your lips need protecting all year round. I especially like using this one as it has SPF 15 to protect my lips from the sun and being burned (yep you can also get sun burn on your lips!)

Simple kind to skin day cream: I like this day cream as it has sunscreens in it. So on summer days it is reassuring to know that if I do forget to put on sun protectant that my day cream has got me covered. It does have a heavier feel to it when you first put it on but after it doesn't feel any different to other moisturisers.

Simple kind to skin moisture boost hydro mist: I have only recently purchased this but each time I have used it I really liked it. You can use it over make up to refresh your face though out the day. I also like that it has a lovely fresh and clean feel on my skin and would be great for the summer on hot days.

Vaseline healthy hands + UV protection hand cream: I have also recently purchased this hand cream as I tried out a different Vaseline hand cream and loved that so I decided to try this one as well and I am glad that I did as it is so nice to use. I got a smaller size so that I could fit it in my bag. Again it has SPF 15 so it will protect my hands from the sun. It also has a lovely fresh scent to it.

Batiste dry shampoo in blush: The one that I have pictured is the small travel size but I do also own it in full size. I have shown the smaller size as it is easier to carry around with you in your bag if you want to freshen up your hair during the day. I know that in the summer I sometimes don't want to be washing my hair all the time so I find that using this really freshens up my hair as well as having a lovely floral scent.

Impulse body spray tease: When it gets hot you want to make sure that you are smelling nice and fresh. This is why I like to use a pretty smelling body spray. I like Impulse as there are so many different fragrances to choose from. At the moment I am using 'tease'.
