April Favourites


Looking back over my posts recently I noticed that I haven't written a favourites post in a long time, in fact I haven't posted any monthly favourites since August! Now I know that it had been a while, however I hadn't realised quite how long it had actually been! The truth is I haven't felt like I have had enough new products to show and I have also been using a lot of the same products each month so I thought that they would be quite boring to share.

So with all of this in mind I looked over some of the products that I have been reaching for the most and decided that this month I would post up my monthly favourites! So enough rambling from me and onto the products!

Simple Kind to Skin Micellar Cleansing Water
Now I plan on posting a full review of this product so I won't say too much about it at the moment. However I will say that this has become a bit of a staple for me over the past few months.

Maybelline Color Tattoo
I love the Maybelline color tattoo shadows so when browsing the isles of Boots this new shade made it's way into my basket! It is the leather effect in creamy beige. I have been wearing this pretty much everyday and I think it is the perfect 'staple' shadow that every girl should have in their make up collection.

Essie 'Vanity Fairest' 
This polish was featured in my recent nails of the day post, and has become my go to nail polish for the whole of this month! It is the prettiest pale pink and the perfect everyday nail polish!



Benefit Roller Lash
This seems to be the mascara of the moment. I got this mini little mascara from Elle magazine and I have been impressed with it so far. Again I plan on writing a review post for this so keep your eyes peeled if you want to know more about this and what I think of it!

Real Techniques Setting Brush 
I am really loving this brush from real techniques at the moment. With the weather getting warmer (and make up being more likely to have a wander around the place) I have found this is the perfect tool to keep my make up in its place. I just use this little brush to dust powder over my concealer and it is also the perfect size for setting concealer under my eyes.

Spring Wishlist

With the weather warming up and it well and truly feeling like Spring, I have been a busy bee by putting together my Spring wishlist! I love Spring time and it is also my favourite season for clothing! There are always so many pretty pieces out at this time of year and I have seen so many beautiful things in the shops at the moment. Of course because of this I have quite a long list of things on my wishlist, however I put together 10 things for a 'mini' Spring wishlist to share with you!

Nails of the Day




If you haven't already guessed, Essie is my favourite nail polish brand! I love the formula, brush, range of colours, staying power, in fact the list could go on. Basically I love these polishes! My collection is growing all the time and the newest polish to my collection is 'vanity fairest'. 

I bought this to wear over the spring months as it is such a pretty pale pink. It also has a fine glittery shimmer too (which is a bit difficult to see from the photos above). This is a sheer polish but you can easily build up the colour with more coats. I am wearing two coats of this polish and it is still sheer looking but has a good amount of colour still. 

When I was painting this onto my nails I had mixed feelings about this polish. I was a little worried after I applied the first coat about how sheer it was, however after apply the second coat I didn't worry too much as it did look more this the polish in the bottle. Now that I have worn it for a bit is has really grown on me and I might just be a new go to everyday polish! 

I think that this polish is perfect for the spring seasons and also a great everyday 'natural' nail too. Even though it does has the fine glitter to it, it isn't really in your face and just gives your nails a pretty subtle shine.

Friday Five


For this Friday Five I have decided to show you my five everyday make up essentials that I'm loving at the moment. These are the five products that I reach for everyday. I am currently loving a more natural make up look, and these five are perfect for that! 

First up I have 3 Benefit products. Gimme brow is my go to brow product, it is so quick and easy to use and great for a natural looking brow. {Review of gimme brow here} Roller lash is Benefit's new mascara, I got this little mini version in Elle Magazine and I have been loving it over the recent months. It is the perfect everyday mascara. Of course I also have my trusty old favourite Fake up concealer! I love this concealer (which if you read my blog you will already know)! I use this under my eyes, to brighten and conceal any dark circles. It blends well and lasts really well throughout the day.  {Review of fake up here} Next up is my current favourite and current go to blush from Clinique. I love the cheek pop blush in 'peach pop'. It is the perfect natural everyday blush. {Review of cheek pop here} Lastly, although not technically a make up product and more skin care is the Balm Balm lip balm. I use this on my lips everyday to keep them moisturised. It is perfect to wear underneath lip stick & gloss as well as great on it's own. At the moment I just wear this on my lips alone, for a pretty natural look.

Hair Product Haul






I have recently been more interested in hair care/styling products. Whenever I'm out shopping I usually but more beauty/make up related products but this time I bought more hair products, so of course I decided to do a little haul! I know that I haven't got a whole lot but I want to try a few things first then try other things in stages so that I don't have an overwhelming amount of new products to try!

So onto the hair products that I bought:

Batiste Dry Shampoo - Fresh
I love the Batiste dry shampoos, so when my current one was close to running out, I thought that I would try out a different scented one. Before this one my favourite was the Oriental one but I have given this one a quick try and I do really like this scent.

V05 Give Me Texture Instant Oomph Powder
My hair can be quite flat at times so I am on the search for something to give me some volume. I decided to pick this one up after a recommendation I was given when I last had my hair cut. You just put a little of the powder onto your roots and rub in (a bit like dry shampoo) and it add some volume.

Umberto Giannini Backcomb In A Bottle
Again another product to add some volume. I picked up the small travel size one to try first then if I liked it I would do back and buy it full size. This product was recommended to me in a beauty bloggers chat by a few people so I thought it would be worth trying out!

Umberto Giannini Beauty Secrets Beauty Balm
Lastly I picked up this overnight moisture balm. It has quite a lot of good reviews so again I thought I would give this a try and hopefully it will give me gorgeous locks!
