Benefit's Fake Up Concealer

I decided it was about time that I did a post on this concealer from Benefit. It has been in my summer beauty essentials post but other than that it hasn't had any attention. I came to the conclusion the reason why, is because I hadn't noticed myself how much I like this product until recently when I came to the end of it, and being upset that I had finished it (and not have it to use anymore) went straight out to repurchase!

So the story begins back when fake up was released about a year ago. I hadn't really tried many Benefit products at the time but my love for them was starting to grow, and I can remember how excited I was about the release of this. It promised a lightweight, non cakey or creasing coverage. Perfect just what I am after! I had had enough of my concealer looking awful under my eyes, and fake up was to the rescue!

I use it pretty much everyday, and it is my go to concealer. It can be worn on it's own, or over the top of another concealer to help prevent creases or applied during the day to smooth them out. It lasts well through the day and gives me a good coverage. I also love the packaging it comes in, it is so pretty and a lovely size to be able to carry around in your bag.

A few down sides to this product is that it doesn't have a high coverage. So if you want to cover up some really dark circles you would need to use another concealer with a higher coverage with it. Another thing is that I have found that if you apply too much it can start to crease during the day. Although to help this I just apply a little of the outer moisture ring and then blend away the crease.

All in all I would really recommend this product. So if you have had enough of caking or creasing concealer under your eyes, I would definitely invest in this!

Have you tried fake up? What is your favourite concealer?
Love Bella x

  1. I've not seen this Benefit product before. I like the moisture ring on it. Such a great idea to make it easier to blend! xx

    1. Yes the moisture ring is such a great idea to have around the concealer part, easy to blend and also good for the delicate eye area. I have noticed it isn't as displayed as much as their other products but definitely worth looking for! x
